Day 7

Day 07- A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you

That is really difficult to do.

As I don't feel like I have been impacted by anyone.

Usually, I don't care very much what people think, so people don't really impact me.

I hardly motivate myself, so, "myself" is not an option.

Usually, I do things with other people's interest in mind, but no one specifically.

My family has had an impact on me, but not to the biggest impact, I feel

and my friends are always changing, so their impact is little to nothing.

This is a difficult question.

And I do no have a picture for it.

So instead I shall post

this pickle man.

Day 6 (Plus some more fun things.)

Day06- Favorite super hero and why
Here we go. This is a good one.

I've always had trouble deciding who my favorite super hero is.
And at the moment it is a cross between 2...or maybe three...

First of I would like to mention Nightcrawler.
(In case you didn't know, he is from X-Men... if you don't know that...I'm not sure why you're reading my blog... but I digress...)

Nightcrawler always interested me, mainly because of his appearance and his abilities. They're pretty cool and his abilities are quite subtle for the most part. The more I learned of him, the more I enjoyed the actual personality of the character, then finally I learned of his history.

He's a cool character that just kind of minds his own business, had a rough life, but has learned to deal with it. (Though this seems to be a trend in most super heroes, to be honest)

My favorite thing about the X-Men though, is how the majority of them were simply born with their abilities. (Granted, some of them mutated themselves in one way or another...)
They weren't bitten by anything strange, injected with a serum, blasted with radiation.
They actually HAVE powers and generally don't have to wear special suits to use them.
They're just... born like that. And people either love them or hate them for it.
Even though they're probably the least human looking out of all of the heroes, I still find that they are the most human in the end.

The other two heroes I will mention are Hellboy and Abe.
I like Hellboy's personality. He's very stubborn, a bit harsh, and tries to be a badass.

But.

He loves cats and candy.
Cats. and. candy.
(and Tecate, but...that's a different story...)

Somehow...I can relate...

And Abe. Abe is just phenomenal. One of the least physical characters I've ever seen (Professor X not included...)
But he's very smart, he's kind and he's shy. The exact opposite of Hellboy, but he is equally, if not more like-able. Trapped in his tank or in a funny suit, kind of falling by the wayside of the world. I just like Abe.

That's all.

(Ps. Cheetara)

And moving on.

A while ago I wrote a blog all about ICE CREAM!

Well, here's another one to add to my list.

The Inside Scoop, Hyde Park, Ny

The Inside Scoop is a near-by ice cream store that we had never visited before, despite the fact that we drive by is almost every day.
Little did we know that not only was it homemade ice cream, but it was also...really really good homemade ice cream...

Service: 9/10
Definitely. The employees were very, very friendly and enthusiastic (but not in the Cold Stone "we'regonnasingforyouandbealittlebitobnoxioussoyouwillgiveustips" kind of way.)
They made nice conversation, gave us a menu and let us try the flavors that we thought were interesting.

Taste:8.5/10
Hands down the best Cotton Candy ice cream I've ever had. I was extremely impressed, especially with the texture.
Their Cake Batter didn't beat the Island Creamery's, though.
But, they had a flavor called "Sponge Bob" and it was really good!

Originality: 8/10. It had a playground outside, the inside looked almost like an arcade/party store without the games and it was very colorful.

Value:8.5/10
We both got two huge scoops of ice cream for a little over 7 dollars. I approve.

Experience:9/10.
Despite not feeling well, we both enjoyed our ice cream and even had enough to take home and eat later!
It was wonderful

Total: 8.6

Day 1

Day 01- A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself

Well. There is a recent picture. It is not the MOST recent, but it is recentish. The most recent one I have is a picture of me dressed as Snooki from the Jersey Shore. And I feel no need to post that right now.

To this will have to suffice. It is of Van and I at the beach. It was quite a fun day. I think we just got back from the fair or golfing.

15 interesting facts about myself? Let's try this out. I doubt there are 15 facts about myself, let along interesting ones!

  1. I have 32 hours of tattoo work on my arm and I am not finished yet.
  2. My favorite video games are Fallout 3 and Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
  3. I am currently looking to purchase an African Pied Crow.
  4. If it can be purchased at a fair, it is my favorite food.
  5. You may not be able to tell from reading my blog, but I do really like grammar.
  6. I have a fantastic memory, but only when it comes to really useless things.
  7. I once saved the life of a man. He had overdosed on Oxycontin.
  8. I enjoy climbing things
  9. One thing that really bothers me is when I use the word "I" a lot. It makes me feel really self centered. So, naturally, this list is quite irritating.
  10. The last thing I ever want to do again is go swimming in an ocean.
  11. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people pluralize words for no reason what so ever. ("Hi's!" "I loves you!" etc.)
  12. Hearing people eating/chewing makes me rage. And I mean RAGE. I have reached my hand into someone's mouth and removed gum from it before. Nothing makes my blood boil as much as listening to someone chew gum.
  13. Road rage. I have horrible, horrible road rage.
  14. Whenever I watch a movie or television show, I try to find the characters that are most like me. Or most like my table top RP characters.
  15. I am Wheezy, but I ain't asthmatic.

Stolen

I totally jacked this from a friend's Tumblr.

Since I prefer to blog instead of...Tumble... I will be posting it here instead.

I tend to fall behind on my blogging, and hopefully this will make a good habit out of it, since I do like to document things. So, I guess today I will start with my blog challenge. Though that will be in my next post.

Bacon. Brownies.

Most exciting things!

I made bacon brownies and Moutain Dew cupcakes!

The brownies turned out surprisingly well. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect so I just made a test batch of 4. I must say, they were quite good!
Bacon brownies with chocolate maple frosting. Its a wonderful thing.

The Mt. Dew cupcakes turned out alright too. They were kind of ugly, so I do have to work on the colors a little bit. But other than that, they were wonderful!

Just in case.

If you are interested in purchasing them, you can find them at www.pixelpastries.webs.com.

Now I just need to continue my quest for old action figures!
Yay!

Fun fact of the day:

The letter "e" is the most commonly used letter in the English language. The novel Gadsby, by Ernest Vincent Wright does not contain the letter "e" throughout the entire book.

Because I'm A Heartless, Sarcastic Bitch

Another list.

I used to say that I thought I was a rather patient person. As my life goes on and I encounter more people, this theory seems to change a little bit. Perhaps morals are just different from what they used to be. Maybe people have just stopped caring. Who knows. I certainly don't. There are a lot of things that I see kids (and adults, for that matter) doing that I know for sure I would have gotten in HUGE trouble for if I did.
Not to say that my parents were strict, because they definitely were not; they just brought me up to generally be polite, courteous and have manners. I must say that for this I am thankful.

Sadly though, I see how people act these days and it sickens me. I don't mean to be "hoity-toity" or stuck up, but at the rate our race is going, we're about to drive ourselves into the ground.

So, now, it is time for another list!

SKELLYTON'S SOCIAL PET PEEVES
1. Playing music off of your cellphone in public.
Whether you're sitting on the bus, walking through the mall or eating at a restaurant, you should NOT have your cellphone out playing your shit-quality MP3's for everyone to hear. Use some headphones. I don't want to know your "Top 10 favorite songs this week" while I am trying to enjoy me meal.
I once had a couple come in to Ruby Tuesday's while Van and I were eating, sit down at the table across from us and play music through their cellphone throughout their entire meal. Should I have said something? Probably. Would it have made a difference? No. Why? They were friends with the waiter. Go figure.
2. Take up two parking spaces, because your car is "the shit".
There is no need for you to double park your shit. If you do this intentionally, you are a pompous asshole. If you do this accidentally, you are a 16 year old girl that just got her license.
Another time, while at the mall, Van and I encountered another bout of douchebaggery. It was a Saturday afternoon and the parking lots were almost all full at the movie theater. It took us at least 15 minutes to find a space, when finally, low and behold, there was one! We begin to pull our car up only to see that someone had very intentionally parked on the line. This irked me horribly. If you are worried about your car getting scratched or bumped, don't take it to the mall. Don't take it to the movie theater at the mall. Don't take it to the movie theater at the mall on the Saturday afternoon. And lastly, don't take it to the movie theater at the mall on Saturday afternoon in POUGHKEEPSIE NEW YORK. I hastily wrote a note that said "You;re car isn't THAT nice, asshole" stuck it on their windshield, then went and enjoyed my film. The end.
3. Pure and simple laziness
Laziness within reason, I can handle. Being so lazy that you cause more strain for someone else, I cannot. Laziness and ignorance go hand and hand, to me.
Guess where I was for this one? Yep! THE MALL! Though, this time I was working. Sadly, this happens on a somewhat regular basis. A customer comes in, hustling like their ass in on fire, and comes up to me. They do not say "hi", they do not say "excuse me". The first thing out of their mouth is "I need 'x'". Now, 'x', is usually a CD of sorts. Let's say its The Rolling Stones.
"I need The Rolling Stones."
Usually in this situation, I would like to reply "No. You don't. You WANT the Rolling Stones. You don't need shit." But I don't. I don't say it. Usually, to be honest, I say "okay."
"You'll be able to find it a lot faster than I will, I don't have a lot of time."
"Its under "R" for "Rolling". All of our CDs go alphabetically."
"Where is that?"
"Under "R". Comes after "Q" and before "S"."
"You need to show me."
Jesusfuckingchristmaythisearthburnbeforemeandsufferonethousandfierydeaths.
At this point, I stop whatever I am doing, walk over to the very predominantly labeled "R" section and point to the 4 to 5 rows of Rolling Stones CDs we have.
"Which one is the latest?"
"I don't know...here..."
I then pick up a CD and look at the date on the back, explaining that CDs have a date on the back. I hand them the one that says "2010"
"Is this the latest one?"
"Yes. Its from 2010."
They then walk away without a word.
Apparently working in retail makes you sub human.
This post is getting far to long, so perhaps I will continue my list later on.
