Two Days

11. Your Top 3 Favorite Bands

1.The Weakerthans

I've been listening to these guys for years now. A lot of people don't recognize the name, either. Apparently they're pretty popular in Canada.
There music, I always find, is inspiring. Every time I listen to them, I feel like I learn something. The Weakerthans have a song for any moment of any day. For any feeling, any emotion and any situation.

2.Protest the Hero
Here is another band that I've been following for a few years now. Their album "Kezia" is my absolute favorite. I often choose them for long car rides. (They keep me awake!) They're one of the few heavy bands that I've discovered that actually have important lyrics. Important lyrics AND a concept album? From a metal band?! Yes, it is possible!

I don't really have a third, to be honest. I have my two favorites, then the rest that I really, really like are all pretty even!

12. Your Thoughts or Opinions on Harry Potter

Funny that you should ask, as we just spent Thanksgiving watching the first 6, then went to the movies the next day to see the 7th.
I grew up with Harry Potter (and Harry Potter grew up with me, actually). So, the entire series is very dear to me. Every book and every movie has been purchased or viewed on the first available day (except for this last one, actually, because I was traveling...) Basically, I freaking love the Harry Potter series.

Wow. 4 Days Already? Oops!

I could have swore that just yesterday I posted my 30 Day Blog Challenge.
Time to catch up.

Day 2: Talk about your tattoos and piercings.

Easy enough!

My first piercings were, of course, my ears.
I was an infant, it wasn't my choice. I don't remember.
As I grew older, I wanted more. The holes had shifted a little, so now I just ignore them
Now I have 3 new holes in each ear. I've had them normal sized, I've had them gauged to all kinds of crazy ways. Unsuccessfully, I've pierced my nose and ears and other parts. None of it turned out as I hoped, so I just let them be.
Right after my 18th birthday I pierced my tongue. I've had all of those since.

Tattoos, though.
My first one was a hand-drawn honey bee. Not unlike the ones from Whinnie the Pooh. It is on my side, above my hip.

Ink, as many people know, is addicting.

From the bee it then turned to arm tattoos:
3/4 of my right arm is covered, from above my wrist up to my shoulder. All of them are old Sega Genesis games.
It starts with Zombies Ate My Neighbors, then goes to Battle Toads, then Earthworm Jim, then Ecco the Dolphin, then Sonic the Hedgehog. Some the main characters, some the side characters and villains. Today, for example, I got Evil the Cat from Earthworm Jim on my shoulder. Next month I'll be getting the cover from Golden Axe II on the back of my shoulder.
No, there are no real pictures of them online. I have a few pictures of the individual bits, but there are no pictures of its entirety. Soon, my friends, soon.

Day 3: Write About Your Favorite Television Program

I wish I could write about my favorite television program, but I actually don't have one.
In all honesty, I avoid watching TV if I can. I really like movies and games, but TV, I could do without.
Back in the day, Queer as Folk was one that was frequently played in my house. When I was younger I liked Invader Zim. As of right now? There really aren't any. Its a struggle to find something enjoyable.

Day 4: Write About Your Closets Friends

That is pretty hard to do at this point in my life.
Many of my friends, I don't talk to anymore. The ones that I do speak to, we don't have the "best friends" relationships.
Wow.
This...actually really sucks.

What A D-Bag

First off, I have no idea what to write about. It seems like the topics for me to cover are dwindling.
So, if anyone has anything that they want to read about, feel free to let me know and I'll get to it.
Lets make this blog more "reader happy", if that makes sense.

Secondly, I just watched the movie Funny People, and I seriously think that it made me depressed. 2 hours of a sick comedian's life spiraling out of control? Great.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about depressing shit. I rather enjoy watching fucked up movies about drugs and gangs and crap like that. Not if I expect it to be funny though.

Thirdly, I'm about to slaughter my neighbors. Not only were they pounding on the wall with a hammer today, but now they're stomping around like a herd of cattle upstairs. Its really not difficult to walk lightly.

And lastly:

FUCK FOUR LOKO

*No, that is not me. My puke was blue and full of Funyuns.

There Ain't No Rest For the Wicked

Sagging, tired eyes
What is this thing you speak of?
"Sleep" is what it's called?
I've lost count of how many days it has been since I've slept well. Going to bed at 6:30 am isn't cutting it. For some reason I keep tossing and turning.
Luckily enough, I've been able to keep myself busy.
So far I've nearly completed my Fallout 3 Laser Rifle prop for my Halloween costume. The rest of my outfit is ready to go. Same with Van's.
The other night I worked the midnight release for Fallout New Vegas. What a wonderful time!
Of course I left the store with my collector's edition copy, I haven't had a chance to play it though.
After leaving the midnight release a little later than 1 am, I drove a friend of mine home, then picked up my other friend, Jason, and we drove to Philly.
In the pouring rain.
At 2 am.
Several Full Throttles, a NOS, a Rockstar and a Venom later....
We got to my parents' house at 6 am, just as Dad was leaving for work.
Almost immediately we went to sleep, just to wake up in 4 hours then drive an hour into Center City.
There we waited at the Rock School of Dance to audition to work at DISNEY WORLD!
This was very exciting.
I figured, though, that we would just do some minor acting auditions and get an interview. I was sorely mistaken.
And sore in general.
Turns out we had to dance for approximately 3 hours. Almost non-stop. After being so exhausted (and sick from drinking all those poisons on an empty stomach that morning...), dancing was the LAST thing I needed to do. I was certain that I was going to faint.
The auditions were out at 5 pm. I felt confident and sweaty and ready to collapse.
With eyes drooping and heads nodding, we finally made our way home, ate dinner, then watched the extremely disappointing Scream Awards.
At 8 o'clock this morning, we woke up and made our way back to New York. Traffic was awful, due to ungodly amounts of construction.
I dropped Jason off at his house, then went to Planet New York and added on to my tattoo.
Now, I'm home, sitting on the couch, typing this with my eyes closed, ready to fall asleep. Maybe I'll make cookies for Van tonight, since I just got some chocolate chip cookie dough from Mom.
Or maybe I'll just lay on the floor until someone scoops me up with a giant spatula...

Today was a day of much-needed adventuring and business.
After sitting around the house for a week or so, it was nice to go out for a little.
Yeah, okay, I wandered around the mall for 6 hours, but it was better than sitting home alone doing nothing.
(Though...that could have been some valuable Fallout time...)

I found some parts for my Halloween costume, got some more tobacco for my hookah (which you can review on my other blog, if you click to my profile) and saw Jackass 3D.

Let me tell you, Jackass 3D was the best 11 dollars I have spent in a long time.
If you're into that kind of crap, I definitely recommend it. Plus, Johnny Knoxville is my "From-the-waist-up" celebrity crush. It gave me a much needed laugh, which I was thankful for.

Sometimes you just need to watch a guy get punched in the dick, you know?

As Promised

To any of you who haven't read my reviews before,
You will quickly learn that I specialize in tearing things apart.
I know, I know, this is unfair, but that is just how it is.
Unfortunately, the bad almost always outweighs the good.

If there is a movie where a basket of kittens get violently and graphically tortured, no one is going to give a shit if the protagonist finally gets with the love interest.

Violently and graphically tortured kittens outweigh a kiss.

The bad outweighs the good.

(I am in no way, shape, or form suggesting that a basket of kittens get violently and graphically tortured in The Social Network, so don't get your hopes up, sociopaths.)

Now, the first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem.

That is exactly what I'm doing here: admitting that I violently and graphically torture movies in my reviews.
So, I will try my hardest not to be to brutal with this one.

(Insert shitty "Windows Movie Maker" transition here)

The Social Network.

Let me start by telling you that I only had minimal knowledge of what this movie was about before I went to see it.
So little, actually, that about 40 minutes into the movie, I noticed what the main character's name was, leaned over to my friend, and said "Wait...Mark Zuckerburg? Isn't that the guy who made Facebook?"

No shit, Sherlock, go back to the kiddie table.

I though that this movie was a fictional tale about social networking, fabricated for the entertainment of the Internet-saturated youth of today.
Oh, was I wrong.

It turns out that this movie was the history of Facebook.

FACEBOOK!

REALLY?

Why would ANYONE be interest in seeing that?

Had I known that, I probably would have waited to rent it, accidentally kicked it under the couch, forgotten about it for weeks, and had a movie-ticket's worth of late fees by the time I finally found it.

Luckily though, it wasn't wretched.

So, allow me to paint a picture for you;

The film starts out with our hero(???), and his girlfriend at a bar, babbling almost incoherently back and forth in a tedious, somewhat indistinguishable monotonous exchange that made me pray and pray that the entire movie wasn't going to be like this.

Turns out it was simply a way to show what a DICK our main character is.

Though, our dickish main character's dialog was kept up in the same excruciating fashion throughout the entire movie. (I will admit that it was funny, if you could keep up.)

The whole middle of the movie was a back-and-forth, dizzying switch between camera angles and parts of the story, trying to explain multiple lawsuits. Not only were they explaining lawsuits, they were explaining them backwards. Kind of. It wasn't bad though, just took a little getting used to.

One thing I couldn't get used to was the GOD DAMN FILTERS that they used.

I felt like I was watching the first 10 seconds of an Asthma medication commercial throughout the ENTIRE MOVIE. And when it wasn't an Asthma medication commercial, it had the feel of a modernized Western. Maybe if Walker Texas Ranger banged Juno McGuff.
Something like that.
Horrible filters. Horrible filters that were difficult to see past (ba'dum-tss!)

That was perhaps my biggest complaint about the movie.

I had one more problem, though. Not from my own personal experience, but I feel like it could have easily been an issue, especially for either the older generations or the younger generations.

If you understood a large amount about computers, then this movie would be easy for you to follow.
If you understand a lot about the law, it would be even easier.
And if you understand a bit about business, then it would be easier yet.

If you don't know much about any of the previously stated; good luck. You're gonna need it.

The film is about Harvard students.
They talk and act like...well...Harvard students.

So, if you're an older person that only operates the computer to check your email when you remember or to play Solitaire because the TV is out, then this movie will be miserable for you to watch. Stay home and open up that DVD your grand kids got your for Christmas that you haven't touched yet.

If you're twelve years old and have no idea how life works yet, go watch the Guardians of Gahoole or whatever the hell it is, because you're not going to understand it and you're going to sit in the theater texting your BFF the whole time. Then I'm going to reach over and break your phone in half then stuff it in your cherry slushy. (Do I smell a euphemism?!)

Now, as I say in almost every blog of mine:

Moving right along.

The acting was pretty on-par (with a few awkward exceptions,), the story, in the end, was interesting enough, and the cinematography was...acceptable. The oh-so-anticipated musical score, though, was god-awful.

Have you ever seen "Forgetting Sarah Marshall"?

At one point in that movie, the main character talks about his job as a composer. He explains that he doesn't compose music, really, but just dark and ominous tones.

It felt like they hired him for this movie.

Dark and ominous tones.

Dark.
And.
Ominous.
...

Tones.

That's pretty much what we had going on here.

But let's try to think positively.

One of the strongest points of the movie, was character development, but I feel like that's nothing special since it was based on REAL PEOPLE. There were no "characters" to "develop".
But over all, the characters were interesting.
While watching it, I felt for them.
When one got fucked over, I was a little pissed. When something good happened, it made me happy.
They weren't just empty shells, so that was good.
Everything about it was very realistic (no shit...) From the emotions, to the consequences of the character's actions, to the way they spoke, to the way they dressed. Even the events of the movie were realistic, so that was very uplifting. My time wasn't totally wasted.
Well, not all of it.
About....eh.... an hour and fifty minutes of it.
A story that could have easily been told in ten minutes was drug out to about two hours.

It was like listening to your drunken uncle at thanksgiving.

You know, the one you try to avoid being alone with because he's going to hold you hostage and tell you his life story for the 6th time?
Kind of like that.

The movie was just a bit long.
(and then ended really abruptly, so you had no idea when it was finally going to be over.)

So, i the end, I'd say "sure, go see it".
Its worth seeing once. I wouldn't buy it, I wouldn't see it again in the theater unless someone else was paying for my ticket and begged me to go.
Maybe I'll rent it once.
Its worth a one time see, so may as well.
We all know that if you don't, you're just going to sit home and F5 your News Feed for two hours anyway.

3/5 stars.

Forget "Sexy", is JT Going to Bring Myspace Back?

Today I am going to see The Social Network
(I know, I know, I'm so behind! It's been out for a whole two days already!)

So I will be back to bitch and rant about it.

(That's actually pretty unlikely, as it got a 97% from Rotten Tomatos.)

I guess we will find out.

Then you all can read yet ANOTHER review.

Just Your Typical Thundercats Ho

Today I had planned on writing a blog about how every woman has "Jaguar mode". No, this has nothing to do with "cougars" or anything of the sort. Jaguar mode is when a woman gets so incredibly irrate that when she yells or screams she no longer sounds like a human being, but like a wildcat singing a thrashmetal song. This tends to be a very rare experience and only happens when a women is as angry as she can possibly be.

To better describe this, I had clips from two movies in mind, but I couldn't find the second one that I needed. First bit from was Forgetting Sarah Marshall. There is a scene about two-thirds of the way though the movie where Rachel encounters her ex-boy friend and more or less flips shit on him. I found that clip and will post it below.
The second bit was from Knocked Up. In that scene, the character Allison screams mercilessly at a rather confused Seth Rogen in a gynecology office. Unfortunately I could not find the clip from that.
But, those were my two best examples of women going into jaguar mode.
It really is a terrifying experience.

Here is the clip from Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It is relatively short, but the part that I speak of is only within the last 10 seconds or so, and she only does it for about 3 seconds, as jaguar mode rarely lasts longer than that.

Well, I suppose after all of that I did make the post I had originally planned on. So now you may carry on with your lives.
Good day.
Oh, and if you are curious as to what sound I am refering to, is would be this, which is technically a bobcat:

The Sound of Settling

Apparently my last post was the big 170.

So here is the even bigger 171! There is no area code in the United States that is 171.

I've been on this kick lately, where I feel like my life is very meaningless. This is something I have been struggling with a lot recently. I feel like my failures greatly out-weigh my accomplishments, and frankly, this is not the way I want to live. So for the past few weeks I have been trying to compile a few different ideas as to what I want to do.

Long story short, I feel the need to do something life changing. The likely hood of this happening is little to none.

The best option seems to be joining the military. After doing quite a bit of research I decided on the Army. The Marines were my first choice, but since I have so many tattoos I cannot join. But that is okay, I have no regrets.

I have been looking into the Army, trying to decided when I would go, find what jobs I would do and so on. I was 75% sure I would be joining. The only thing that was holding me back was the fact that I would have to leave Van, and I really don't like the idea of that. I still sit and wait for a sign though, to show me what I should or shouldn't do.

Strangely enough, though, I think I kind of found it.

This morning, at about 6 AM, I had a dream.

Van and I were in a plane, waiting for it to take off. Everyone was seated, thick fog clouded the surrounding area. The pilot spoke over the loudspeaker, telling us that we were ready for take off. The engines started, the plane began to move forward, steadily gaining speed. It began to lift, as if slowly peeling gravity off of it in thick layers. Though, just as it started to leave the ground, it would slam back down, unable to break free from the runway. The captain came over the loudspeaker again, apologizing. He tried to lift the plane off again, but the same thing happened. We were nearing the end of the run-way. Finally, on the third try, the plane lifted. It accelerated upward, passing through the fog. It increased in altitude, then finally leveled out as it reached it's peak in the sky. Only then did it start to waver side to side. The plane shook violently as it began it's downward spiral. I then got a view of the front of the plane, as if a camera were stuck on the nose of it, pointing downward at the on-coming ocean.

All I really remember at this point, was the plane's rapid decent to the ground and the impact as it hit the ocean. I do not know how I got out of the plane, I do not know how I got my seat belt off. The next thing I remember is being swept away underwater, disoriented and hazy, my vision tunneling and my limbs weighing me down. Suddenly, I felt a hand on the back of my shirt-collar and heard Van's voice in my head saying "I gotcha...", then suddenly being pulled quickly upward. It was at this point that I woke up.

I feel like this dream means something, but I'm really not sure what. Its kind of making me lean more toward not joining the Army for some reason. We will see.

Now that I have gotten that out of my system, I would like to share something with you.

Archer Farms S'mores trail mix. It is strangely delicious and most likely very unhealthy.

BUT it tastes JUST like Dairy Queen's Pecan Mudslide (minus the caramel, plus graham cracker bits). I am strongly considering throwing some on top of ice cream. Delicious delicious...
I got it at Target, perhaps it can be purchased other places too. I then snacked on that and a bag of free popcorn while watching Kick Ass.

And as for you who are curious about Kick Ass, I give it a 6.8/10. Think a more comedic version of Watchmen, but with kids in it instead of adults. Also an hour shorter and no blue penis.

HUGERUNONSENTENCE

Look at how sexy this blog looks. Yeah, go ahead... look at it... take it in... there ya go.

Now that we have that out of our system lets move along.

Another day off today.
Hours have been bad.
Too much spare time.
Yet not enough.

I've been painting again, which tends to be a good sign.
Its been all water colors, mostly of pictures of sushi.
my cat is about to pounce on my hands, so please pardon any interruption.

Today is not going to be a good day.
I hate to have such negativity, but my stomach hurts, so I can't help it.
Ah well.

This weekend is a barbecue at work. I think I will be making cheesecake and mountain dew cupcakes.

Now, lets move onto something more interesting.

I watched A Clockwork Orange last night, and I will be the first to admit that I thought it was a horrible movie. Not only was it two hours and 17 minutes too long, but it made little to no sense.
Now, I know there is some hipster out there reading this saying that I am blind and ignorant for not understanding, and I am intellectually inferior, but strangely enough, I am okay with that.
I've read all of these blogs and reviews and websites that say that it is one of the most disturbing movies of all time. Most sites rank it in the top 10 or 15.
Honestly, I'd have to go with...no. Perhaps I am a sick, strange person for not finding this movie disturbing in the least, but I can;t really help that. The violence was not graphic, and most of the time the scene just cut away instead of showing what happened.
I suppose for its time it was very disturbing, but in this day and age, it wasn't much.
In all honesty, I though Reservoir Dogs had more of an edge to it, along with Requiem for a Dream.
Kids these days.

The most disturbing movie I've seen is Untracable. That is by far the most fucked up film I couldn't bear to stomach. It just freaked me out.
I can deal with Saw, which isn't really saying much, but for some reason Untracable really got to me.

Some day I'll grow some balls and watch Audition, but I think I'll wait a little bit on that one.

Moving right along, I saw Diary of a Wimpy Kid at the theater yesterday.
Could have been cute, yes, but it had one of the LEAST likeable main characters of any movie I have ever seen. What an annoying little brat. Next to Alice in Wonderland (the new one, of course. I'll touch on that later.)
I will admit that it had quite a few funny parts, and I would watch it again, but the main character was just a pain in the ass! Thats kids for you.

Now, for anyone that actually reads this and HASNT seen Alice in Wonderland yet, here are my thoughts on it:
It was worth seeing...just to see it, I guess. The visuals were spectacular, and they kept some of the original quotes in, but honestly, they should have gone all or nothing with it. The girl that played Alice was an awful little wretch, I thought. Thankfully they didn't over-do Johnny Depp's part like I thought they would.I'm sure I would have loved it 3 or 4 years ago when I basically breathed Tim Burton films, but after seeing everything he's done already, it was very run of the mill and predictable, with the same cast and the same music he has in every other movie he does.If you like Tim Burton, and you like Alice in Wonderland, this is the best way I can put it:Just because your two favorite foods are chili dogs and chocolate milkshakes, doesnt mean that theyre going to be any good if you blend them together.

Yes, that was taken from my Facebook, incase you were curious.

At this point, I think I am going to make something to eat!

Open Your Eyes, Your Eyes Are Open

Hey there champs!
Again, its been quite a long time since I've said anything on here. I really need to get into the habit of updating this regularly, whether anyone reads it or not. Its just a good thing to do.
Thankfully I will be able to do this more easily now since I got a new phone.
Yes, I know, I know, I hoped on the band wagon and got a smartphone that's going to cost me out the ass monthly, but at least I will have my Internet and I can update here on a very regular, and I fear multi-daily basis.
Unfortunately I have been rather museless recently.
Though, I will quickly mention that I just turned 20 the other day.
And I cannot believe it.
I feel.
old.

I feel like things get real now, and I don't know if I'm ready for that. Perhaps this is something I should get used to.

I will also quickly mention that I just got back from the movies with Van.
We saw She's Out of my League.
It was a cute movie, for the most part, it was also funny, but I found that it was far too long for what it was.
If you're a fan of Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Zack and Miri Make a Porno, or Fan Boys, you will most likely enjoy this movie.

A few hours ago I also got a Formsprings account.
Honestly, I don't even know what it is, nor do I think it seems interesting.
Ah well, we shall see.

I believe my username for it is XOskellyton.

PS

Play Rainbow Unicorn Attack. Its fun an addicting.

Meow Meow!

I have come to the sad realization of "sleeping in for 5 hours means that I wake up at 9 am".

quite a bummer.

My last day off was last Friday and wow does it feel nice to take a bit of a break. But, of course, back to work tomorrow.

Today though, I should go to the store to buy some asprin and other important things. If I go out today, I will. If I don't...I will not. Obviously.

But, until I make that decision, I think I will watch Mama Mia (ALL BY MY LONESOME!)

and eat a bagle, that I will not be sharing.

And here is where you can pretend that I put a smily face. I don't use those in my blog. No no.

I Do Not Exist

My mind subconsciously feeds me song lyrics that are relevant to whichever situation I am in.
This is something that I just noticed today.

After waking up approximately five seconds ago.

I got a text from my mother, showing a picture of kids in robes and what not.
(you can guess where they were.)
Apparently she took my cousins to see Harry Potter at midnight.
As soon as I read this text I just got
"If you can keep a secret, I've got a blanket in the back seat on my mind"
REALLY WEIRD THING to be thinking when you get a text from your mom that is a picture of 12 year olds.
BUT
I then realized it was from the song Midnight Show by The Killers.

Strange how the almost-human mind works, isn't it?

We desperately need to go to the grocery store. Yes.

In a sweater poorly knit and an unsuspecting smile, little Moses drifts
downstream in the Nile. A fumbling reply, an awkward rigid laugh, I'm
carried helpless by my floating basket raft. Your flavor in my mind swings back
and forth between sweeter than any wine and bitter as mustard greens, light and
dark as honeydew and pumpernickel bread, the trap I set for you seems to have
caught my leg instead! As you plow some other field try and forget my
name, see what harvest yields, and, supposing
I'd do the same I planted rows of peas but by the first week of July
they should have come up to my knees but they were maybe ankle high. Take
the fingers from your flute to weave your colored yarns and boil down your fruit
to preserves in mason jars, but now the books are overdue and the goats are
underfed, the trap I set for you seems to have caught my leg instead.
You're a door-without-a-key, a field-without-a-fence you made a holy fool of me
and I've thanked you ever since. If she comes circling back we'll end where
we'd begun like two pennies on the train track the train crushed into one.
Or if I'm a crown without a king, if I'm a broken open seed if I come without a
thing, then I come with all I need. No boat out in the blue, no place to
rest your head, the trap I set for you seems to have caught my leg instead!

AAAAARRRRTEEEEEEEEEEEX!!

The empty hot chocolate mug is taunting me.
For some reason I have always been one to drink hot chocolate when it is really warm out and get cravings for ice cream in the winter. Never made a whole lot of sense.

Last update was the 20th, I see, quite a while ago that was!
Van took off of work for a week, so I felt no need to spend my time typing on a blog while he was here! my work starts tomorrow and in all honesty I do not look forward to this. The good news is I have to be there at 6, meaning I have to leave the house at 5 instead of at 4 like I had thought I would. Never is there a reason to complain about another hour of sleep.

yesterday we watch The Never Ending Story 2. Also known as "A Sad Attempt At Almost Trying To Make A Sequel But Failing Miserably"

I really don't think the same people even made it. The only actor that was the same, was the man that owned the book store. Even Falkor looked different and all of the character's voices were different people. It is quite evident that they did not even try.
We all know that the first movie consisted primarily of people screaming each other's names and that is about it, but of course it is a kid's movie from the 80's so one really couldn't ask much more than that.
Strange news though: there is rumor of a remake. This is indeed exciting.
Van and I decided that it will just be Alan Rickman as Falkor, in a dog suit, giving Shia LaBouf a piggy-back ride through the land of Fantasia, which I have decided is just a parking lot behind a Walmart with the streetlamps adorned with crepe-paper birthday streamers. The Nothing will be played by Johnny Depp and The Emptiness will be Helena Bonham Carter. Danny DiVito will be Morla, the giant turtle.
Sick. Sicksicksick.

What The Effing Crap, That Angel Guy Just Felt Me Up...

REWIND.

I sat in my bed with my laptop, then went downstairs into the kitchen, only to go into the garage and into the car. From the car to Costco, where I left the line I was standing in for 15 minutes for a chicken bake. There were at least 5 little whirling dervishes running around as their parents told them to stop running, take things out of their mouths and keep their hands to themselves. I got in line for the chicken bake. My mother and I walked around Costco for and hour, picking up random things for me to take to the apartment. It was almost dinner time, so there were a lot of people. We exited the car. We drove from Homegoods to Costco. In Homegoods we found nothing that we needed. The movie got out at almost 5 oclock. It was a very good one. We stood in line at the movie theater for 5 minutes or so to see UP at 3:20. My favorite manager does not work there any more. We dropped my dad off at home. My salad was far too spicy. My parents and I went to Dominic's to get things too eat. From the house to the car. I was in my room on my laptop looking for upright basses. I filled out a questionnaire for the hospital I was at. I set my bag on the ground after I got in the house after the 4 hour car ride. We loaded the car with everything. Breakfast was great, my grandmother made thin pancakes. I woke up, didn't sleep to well. I was sleeping.

Deja Vue Much?

I would not recommend reading this blog if you are planning on seeing the movie S. Darko.
Therefor, I suggest you read this blog, instead of watching such a horrid and monotonous flick.

Imagine this:
Take every event that happened in Donnie Darko, every little event, tweak it juuuuuuuuuust slightly, and make it...bad. A monstrous heap of shabby allusions
**Spoilers**

Burn down a building
Movie theater scene
Car wreck
Someone dies in a car wreck/gets hit by a car
Worm holes
Over-done fast motion cloud shots
Time travel, time travel, time travel
Giant bunny suit
"wake up."
Someone Sparrow
Count-down to the end of the world
Overly-Christian people

Its just one big, bad, reoccurring, poorly executed dream.
Take the acting, make it bad, take the "special effects" and make them worse.
And, of course, the main characters are total bitches.
If you liked Donnie Darko AT ALL, I highly suggest not watching this. If you've never seen Donnie Darko, still, don't watch it. Yes, it is that bad.
And if you go and watch the "making of", everyone involved even says that they were reluctant to do it, some cast members even said that they didn't want to be involved. They even KNEW that they should toy with such a thing. Too bad they didn't listen.

At least they didn't play Mad World...

My Power Level Is Over 9000!

So it has been a long week with no internet. Little did we realize that someone in our building must have wireless, because, well, so do we now.
We have lived in our apartment for about one week now and have successfully gotten groceries, furniture, and all of our things.
I have made deviled eggs twice. I have also lost count of how much tea I have drank. Many cups. At least 4 just today.
I have watched quite a few movies too and rented four today.
We also just wrapped up RP night. Soon I will purchase my own D20's. and they will be devine.
I did just find a grat t-shirt at thinkgeek.com

Anyhow, off to watch a movie!

At the age of six I wanted to be a cook. At seven I wanted to be Napoleon. And my ambition has been growing steadily ever since.

-Salvador Dali

2 weeks from Friday I will be out of here. How exciting is this? VERY! I cannot wait. I've been living in a dorm room for far too long.

Yesterday my roommate and I discovered that you can change your language on Facebook to "Pirate". Its pretty funny, really, but gets kinds of hard to read and understand after a while. Requires a bit too much thinking for just looking on Facebook.

Salvador Dali's birthday is this Monday.

RANT
WHY IS ROBERT PATTINSON PLAYING DALI IN AN UPCOMING MOVIE?! This... is painful. It truly is. The guy that plays a dead wizard and a shitty vampire is casted to play one of the greatest artists of all time? Salvador deserves much better than this.

Bitches Love Me 'Cause They Know That I Can Rock.

What an awesome weekend, really!
It started out rocky, because of my practical. I definitely did NOT do as well as I hoped. Applestrip is not my forte, apparently, but I did know that ahead of time. It's amazing what nerves can do to you.
I don't have a picture of what it's supposed to look like, but I do have a picture that shows what it did look like.

Jabba no like-a apple strip! Jee panwa waffmula chone patogga che lickmoomoo!

But then after class Van and I went to the movies and saw Wolverine.
Can I mention...the awesome?
It was pretty good. not my favorite of all of them, but it was really good none the less.
Deadpool was in it, so that just made it awesome. And Gambit.

We then came home, slept, woke up the next morning and lazed around for a bit, which is always really nice. The weather has been great.
Theeeeeeennnn we went to the Melting Pot. Aaaaahhhhh. Delicious. More food that we even knew what to do with. It was an incredibly nice night. And I definitely brought one of the fondue forks home.

And that's only 1/3 of it. talk about being a fat kid! Mmmmm.

We hardly made it home on such full stomachs. We definitely learned how contagious yawning really is.

Sunday was rainy, so no baseball, but we did have RP night and made food and kicked vampire ass.

DAMN.
I just went back and read what I wrote.
Starwars (mentioning Jabba the Hutt, and Huttese)
XMen (mentioning several of the characters)
RPing (self explanatory)
Vampires
I am the biggest nerd on the face of the planet.
But I digress.
I will spend most of the day packing up my dorm, since I am leaving in 3 weeks. it's about time that I start putting things in boxes and bags so it's not a complete disaster being put off until the last possible second. So I'll get a lot of my clothing packed up.
I'm really excited for my next class.
I finished cakes (just barely!)
and I am now going into Individual Production Pastries. My favorite!
it should be an awesome class.
Now, for something completely out there and incoherent. I only know of one, maybe 2 people that will understand this. Van and I talked a little bit about it yesterday, I believe.
I really wish people could know certain things about me. I really can't say or explain what they are, for my own safety and sanity, but lets call it an illness.
I really wish that the people I associate with, work with or come in contact with could see that I have this illness. It would help them understand why I act the way I do, do the things I do, say what I say. They would be able to understand my actions, everything would make so much more sense. it would be exponentially helpful to both myself and people around me, but it's really not that easy. Van made the point of saying that if everyone could see that I was this way, that would just give them one more thing to latch on to and pick apart. And this is true, but i would have to wonder if it would be worth it. It would almost be like wearing a medical ID bracelet that said I was bipolar, or something similar. People would understand why I act the way I do, but on the other hand it would be more likely that they would treat me differently, perhaps negatively, because they knew that about me.
But, they would understand little things like why I don't speak to people when I'm angry, why I act incredibly nonchalant when something goes wrong and why it seems like I don't care about anything. Why I paint, why I write, why I play music when something in wrong. Why I don't talk about my problems, ever. I know it upsets people on occasion when I don't tell them why I am upset or what is bothering me. It just goes with that. It goes with my nature, and it goes with my, for lack of a better term, "illness". If I could get rid of it, sometimes I think I would. But I have a feeling that someday I may need it for something. We'll see.

*BAMF!*
