Wow. 4 Days Already? Oops!

I could have swore that just yesterday I posted my 30 Day Blog Challenge.
Time to catch up.

Day 2: Talk about your tattoos and piercings.

Easy enough!

My first piercings were, of course, my ears.
I was an infant, it wasn't my choice. I don't remember.
As I grew older, I wanted more. The holes had shifted a little, so now I just ignore them
Now I have 3 new holes in each ear. I've had them normal sized, I've had them gauged to all kinds of crazy ways. Unsuccessfully, I've pierced my nose and ears and other parts. None of it turned out as I hoped, so I just let them be.
Right after my 18th birthday I pierced my tongue. I've had all of those since.

Tattoos, though.
My first one was a hand-drawn honey bee. Not unlike the ones from Whinnie the Pooh. It is on my side, above my hip.

Ink, as many people know, is addicting.

From the bee it then turned to arm tattoos:
3/4 of my right arm is covered, from above my wrist up to my shoulder. All of them are old Sega Genesis games.
It starts with Zombies Ate My Neighbors, then goes to Battle Toads, then Earthworm Jim, then Ecco the Dolphin, then Sonic the Hedgehog. Some the main characters, some the side characters and villains. Today, for example, I got Evil the Cat from Earthworm Jim on my shoulder. Next month I'll be getting the cover from Golden Axe II on the back of my shoulder.
No, there are no real pictures of them online. I have a few pictures of the individual bits, but there are no pictures of its entirety. Soon, my friends, soon.

Day 3: Write About Your Favorite Television Program

I wish I could write about my favorite television program, but I actually don't have one.
In all honesty, I avoid watching TV if I can. I really like movies and games, but TV, I could do without.
Back in the day, Queer as Folk was one that was frequently played in my house. When I was younger I liked Invader Zim. As of right now? There really aren't any. Its a struggle to find something enjoyable.

Day 4: Write About Your Closets Friends

That is pretty hard to do at this point in my life.
Many of my friends, I don't talk to anymore. The ones that I do speak to, we don't have the "best friends" relationships.
Wow.
This...actually really sucks.

There Ain't No Rest For the Wicked

Sagging, tired eyes
What is this thing you speak of?
"Sleep" is what it's called?
I've lost count of how many days it has been since I've slept well. Going to bed at 6:30 am isn't cutting it. For some reason I keep tossing and turning.
Luckily enough, I've been able to keep myself busy.
So far I've nearly completed my Fallout 3 Laser Rifle prop for my Halloween costume. The rest of my outfit is ready to go. Same with Van's.
The other night I worked the midnight release for Fallout New Vegas. What a wonderful time!
Of course I left the store with my collector's edition copy, I haven't had a chance to play it though.
After leaving the midnight release a little later than 1 am, I drove a friend of mine home, then picked up my other friend, Jason, and we drove to Philly.
In the pouring rain.
At 2 am.
Several Full Throttles, a NOS, a Rockstar and a Venom later....
We got to my parents' house at 6 am, just as Dad was leaving for work.
Almost immediately we went to sleep, just to wake up in 4 hours then drive an hour into Center City.
There we waited at the Rock School of Dance to audition to work at DISNEY WORLD!
This was very exciting.
I figured, though, that we would just do some minor acting auditions and get an interview. I was sorely mistaken.
And sore in general.
Turns out we had to dance for approximately 3 hours. Almost non-stop. After being so exhausted (and sick from drinking all those poisons on an empty stomach that morning...), dancing was the LAST thing I needed to do. I was certain that I was going to faint.
The auditions were out at 5 pm. I felt confident and sweaty and ready to collapse.
With eyes drooping and heads nodding, we finally made our way home, ate dinner, then watched the extremely disappointing Scream Awards.
At 8 o'clock this morning, we woke up and made our way back to New York. Traffic was awful, due to ungodly amounts of construction.
I dropped Jason off at his house, then went to Planet New York and added on to my tattoo.
Now, I'm home, sitting on the couch, typing this with my eyes closed, ready to fall asleep. Maybe I'll make cookies for Van tonight, since I just got some chocolate chip cookie dough from Mom.
Or maybe I'll just lay on the floor until someone scoops me up with a giant spatula...

Steak and Eggs.

The house is warm and stuffy
I feel as though I am hibernating.
Today, I wish to make fried eggs.
Also scones.
Though, I lack the necessary supplies to do so.

Moving right along;
More tattoos today.
30 hours of wonder.
The sleeve is almost

done.

Then I shall move along to something new.

In the mean time, I shall search for the perfect minotaur.

Surprisingly Uncool

Today I would like to bring a sense of enlightenment to the seemingly very confused world. Perhaps its just Poughkeepsie that suffers from these horrible phenomenons, but just in case it is the rest of the world too, I will continue on.
Here I would like to remind people that just because you think something is cool, doesn't mean that it actually is.
Now, I by no means claim to be a cool person. I mean, honestly, I write a blog for Christ's sake. But still, there are some people out there that need to get a grasp on what is or is not socially acceptable. So, today I bring you:
THINGS PEOPLE THINK ARE COOL
  1. Car-balls

I don't understand what makes these cool or funny. They're stupid and disgusting, plane and simple. Do you not have any of your own, so you feel the need to tack a set of fake junk onto your bumper? Come on, guys. Give it up. Neuter your pets. The last thing we need is a bunch of stray Hummers running around.

2. Tacky-ass Ghetto nails.

No matter what your occupation, if you have nails that are more than an inch long, you instantly look like you run the cash register at the local 7-11. And I am instantly going to assume that you're going to sell me a Slurpee. Wild Cherry, bitch.

3. Douche-Beard

Although it sounds like you might be a bad-ass pirate, actually HAVING a douche-beard simply makes you an ass. If you spent half as much time learning proper English as you did carving hieroglyphics into your head, you would be a much more respectable human being. Instead you look like you just allowed a lawn-mower to take creative freedom of your face.

4. Tribal Tattoos

Unless you're a Maori or fucking Tony the Tiger, you need to stay away from the tribal ink. You either look like a wrestler, or look like a frat boy. Neither of which are respectable personas for the day-to-day civilian. There is nothing else like having solid splotches of meaningless black ink over your body to say "I think I'm a bad-ass, so does my orange-tan girlfriend!" They're gggggggrrreat!

5. Plymouth Prowlers
A wedge of cheese on wheels. Enough said.

6. Keytars
Perfect for the kid whose mom made them practice hours of piano everyday before they could watch t.v. We all know that all you wanted to do was join a rock band. Just like we all know you will always be a total dweeb for the rest of your life. Keytar = significantly uncool.

7. 3-wheeled motorcycles
Too bad-ass for a 4-wheeler, too chicken for a chopper. Looking for the perfect balance? You didn't find it. Move along. You're a tool. Tack a side-car onto it and you'll be the whole hardware store.

No, Mumm Ra, That Is My Cheese Cake!

If my blog were a puppy, it would have died from neglect by now, or at least been taken away by social services. We still don't have Internet in my house, since money is a little bit tight. But I think one of my neighbors has it, hence the fact that I am typing right this very moment.
Life...is big.
As of now.
There have been a lot of changes.

I dropped out of cooking school, which many people tell me was a bad idea.
Personally, I don't think saving thousands of dollars from going to waste is a bad idea. At some point in the near future I will be changing my major and going to a new school. Most likely for journalism I believe we already went through this. I had been working as a chef for a horrible restaurant called All Shook Up, that charged 9 dollars for a tiny sandwich and didn't have ice cream when they called themselves a "malt shop". Thankfully I am no longer there.
I now work a mediocre job at Best Buy, but I am not complaining. All things considered, I am making money and selling video games, so all is not that bad. I've come to the understanding that sometimes you have to start from the bottom and work your way up. There are no cheat-codes for life, with maybe the exception of the lottery. But that is one of those impossible cheat codes that are really difficult to activate, much like the ones in Earthworm Jim.
Speaking of Earthworm Jim, he is now permanently engraved into my bicep. As I had always said he would be. My sleeve is coming along nicely.

Thanks to some awesome Black Friday sales, we got Left 4 Dead 2 and Dragon Age for outstanding prices. Van and I beat L4D2 on Co-op mode, but need to go through it on single player still. It is a good game, the graphics are nice and the new weapons are useful, but it isn't all that different from the first one. Honestly, it kind of seems the exact same in some parts. Though, I don't own the first one, so I'm alright with that.
Zombies tend to go in a backwards order for me. Always start with the second part. as I did with 28 Weeks later.
Dragon age is pretty awesome, but also very frustrating to me. There are a lot of different controls and settings that I really don't have the patients to deal with. I just want to go and be the most evil of mages. Unfortunately I have to listen to hours of dialog to do so. Alas, it shall be done.
\And while we are on the topic, I will quickly state that I got to level 30 out of 55 on Zombies Ate My Neighbors. No cheats used. Go me.

As of recent we have a new addition to our family: Mumm Ra our little cat-baby.
Well, he isn't so little anymore, but he is still a young one. We found him outside last month and didn't want to leave him. He came right up to me and was more than happy to stay. Now that he is massive and has become a master of parkour. He is also trying to eat my cheesecake.
And yes, the name Mumm Ra did come from ThunderCats.

Yes, that is a chicken hat.

My parents just got to meet Mumm Ra at our first Thanksgiving.
It was a very interesting and slightly horrifying experience, but luckily enough it all turned out okay in the end, despite our power going out an hour into cooking our Turducken in out electric stove and me being rather sick for a few days. In the end all was good and we had enough food for 30 people to feed our little gathering of 6.

I suppose that is all that needs to be said for the time being. When I think of something new and also have Internet, I will keep this updated.
Ta.

I Wanna Take A Ride On Your What Now?

So the tattoo is go.
Come August 20th Ill be sitting in a chair getting a needle jabbed into my arm thousands of times.
And for this I am very excited.

oh how this will hurt!
The artist is really excited to work on this one, and really, who can blame him?
I decided on
Zombies Ate my Neighbors
Sonci and Knuckles
Earthworm Jim
and Battle Toads
as the definites.
Ecco the Dolphin, Xmen, Flicky and other ones will be fillers.
The song Poker Face has been stuck in my head for a few days now, and I don't think I've ever even heard it all the way through.
Speaking of modern musi, can I please quickly ask:
WHAT THE FUCK IS A DISCO STICK?!
Anyhow.
Van is nearly home so I shall be going.

Star Blog.

There is a tremendous amount of constant rain as of now and I cannot help but think "I do not exist" thanks to The Messes of Me by mewithoutYou. A good song, for those of you who do not know. Today will be one of those lonely days, because I do not particularly want to be driving around in this weather.

Now I would like to talk about one of my most hated companies: Starbucks.
Anyone who knows me knows that I do hate Starbucks, but also that I drink the shit when I have the money to. It really is quite a shame and I wish it didn't have to be that way. I have gone on many quests and searches to find a cheap, local alternative for the place, but every local alternative turns out to be even more expensive. But then again, when I go and get something stupid like a "Vanilla Bean Frappuchino" I look at it and wonder why I didn't just go get a vanilla milkshake from McDonalds for $1.58. I really don't know.
But, moving right along, Starbucks has unleashed a series of mutant possessed zombie coffee grinders. Yes.

The Starbucks Barista Blade Grinders

Yes, that would be it. You can see, clearly, that is is obviously of some demonic decent. Also the fact that they tend to turn on by themselves and refuse to shut off, sometimes when people are cleaning them. Someone get the Ouija board, these things have got something to say! Perhaps they require a blood sacrifice.
Apparently most Starbucks customers do not know how to properly handle appliance possession, so Starbucks has recalled 530,000 of them. Silly, silly people.

And speaking of silly people, lets touch on the story of 56 Star girl.

Some 18 year old girl in Belgium went to get her face tattooed (Because THAT was a good idea in the first place....) and ended up with 56 stars tattooed on the side of her face. The artist said that she had told him 56, the girls claims to have fallen asleep during the tattooing.

From first hand experience, I would NOT fall asleep while getting a tattoo, ESPECIALLY one on my face. Also, why would the artist continue tattooing her when she was asleep if she only asked for 3? For sure he knew that he would get sued, and the only plus side to her have 56 stars is that he would be able to charge more, but when you get a tattoo, you pay half of the amount before you even go to your appointment, so I definitely call bullshit on this girl.

The artist said that she looked in the mirror several times while it was being done and said that she liked it, and that everything was fine until her father showed up. Now she is suing the tattoo company and getting most of them removed. Way to go.

Soup&Pants&FriedRice&Cake&Icecream&Bubbles&CDs&Strippers

I must say that I thoroughly enjoy soup and pants day.
Sometimes during the week, my buddy Vlad and I will sit around and watch movies and just have a great time. Yesterday we just sat in my room and blew bubbles and listened to music and ate cereal. it was really an awesome time. We wrote a wall of funny things that have happened and that we have said. Then we took a whole bunch of pictures. Today he gave me a sheet of paper with all of them printed on it. It was really great.
Girls night was on Friday. That was really fun. My roommates and I just watched Knocked Up and sat around and ate icecream and talked and had a great time. Some kid gave me shrimp fried rice and it was fantastic.
And then, last night, I went to Zac's birthday party. It was pretty awesome. I got in a borderline fist-fight with Zac and am covered in bruises and rug burn, Van some how ended up naked in the kitchen as my friend/brother walked in, Chux's mom tried to get with me, I ended up covered in green icing, and I have a new-found love for baked ziti. It was a really great time. I made a mix CD for Zac and it is freaking awesome. it goes something like this:
  1. Vampire Breath - Dr. Acula
  2. Safety Song -Tsunami Bomb
  3. Open Book - The Rakes
  4. Time Bomb - Rancid
  5. Love Demon - Los Gatos Locos
  6. Brown Eyed Girl -Reel Big Fish
  7. Julia - The Horrorpops
  8. Gentlemen - mewithoutYou
  9. Pretty Rave Girl - I Am X-Ray
  10. The Beer - Kimya Dawson
  11. Lean on Sheena - Bouncing Souls
  12. I Can Walk On Water, I Can Fly - Basshunter
  13. Hypnotized - Notorious B.I.G
  14. Your Retro Career Melted - The Faint
  15. Bruises - Chairlift
  16. Darkwave Surfer -Aural Vampire
  17. Days Go By - Dirty Vegas
  18. Gunpowder: A Ballet -Dr. Manhattan
  19. (this one was a secret song, I didn't write what it was on the list. its Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley)

Each song gets longer and longer as the CD goes on. its pretty awesome.

Then, this morning, I left from the party with Van and we went out to get breakfast. As I ate my sandwich, this old lady kept staring at me and wouldn't leave me alone. It was so incredibly frustrating and awkward. She kept looking at me as if I were the Antichrist or something similar. I nearly got up and started strip-dancing on her table, just to be obnoxious, but I didn't. Someday I will do something like that. but until then I shall sleep and it will be wonderful. Goodnight, blog.

OH! Today was Soup and Pants day, too and Vlad and I watched Stranger Than Fiction. Gotta love Maggie Gyllenhaal. She is delicious. A delicious ginger baker with tattoos. That will be me someday!

Every Saint Has Past, Every Sinner Has A Future

Everything has been super crazy lately. Between me being a borderline alcoholic, being in a love-pentagram, starting a new relationship and getting back into classes, I feel like a bunch of glow sticks in a blender. It'll all be okay in the end though. I know it will.

IN A STATION OF THE METRO

The apparition of these faces in the crowd;
Petals on a wet black bough.

Yesterday I decided to listen to Tsunami Bomb for the first time in a while. I really enjoy Tsunami Bomb and was really really sad when they broke up. Well it turns out that they got back together for one last benefit show in January. I wish I had known about it then, I would have tried to go! But, for my birthday I asked for their benefit show t-shit. All the money goes to help this woman pay for medical expenses. There are only 3 things I really want for my birthday this year, and they would be 1. that tshirt; 2. an acoustic guitar; 3. Money for my tattoos. I wouldn't complain about getting a pasta roller either, but that's a bit of a stretch.
Watched SLC Punk again yesterday with Shannerpuss and Vlad. got some Chinese food and totally snarfed it. It was awesome. A nice chill day.

The day before was Valentine's Day and honestly, it was awesome. I've never had a real Valentine's Day but this year I did and it was great. We went rollerskating, which I had never done before, so that was an adventure! And I didn't case it and fall on my ass at all! Woohoo! And then we went out to dinner. Which turned out to be my friend Chux's house. Van had set up the living room like a restaurant and Zac was the waiter and Leafy and Chux cooked grilled cheese. Its really hard to explain through writing how nice it really was. I've honestly never had anyone do anything so nice for me before. It was really great.

And now I'm sitting here eating my 1.5 pound box of Lucky Charms. And its phenomenal.
I;m sure Ill think of something else to write about soon. I haven't really felt like writing about anything really heavy lately. There's just too much going on for that. I promise there will be something more interesting soon. I really hate writing all of this stuff about me, because really no one wants to hear it. They like to read about other things more. So I'll think of something soon!

I'M SO EXCITED!

I got accepted into SuicideGirls and I had a friend of mine do a shoot for me when most everyone was in class the other day. I didn't really mention it to anyone because I didnt want to make a huge deal. We just took a few pictures for the photoset to submit and I'm really happy with them. I'm not going to post each picture on here because there are too many, so I'll post a link to the album that I have.
You're going to have to type in a password to get in because it's private.
Password is Glitter

Why yes, that is Earthworm Jim on my bicep...

After searching and searching for pictures of tattoos (oh I just saw everyone that reads this cringe because they know where this is going...) I decided that there are FAR too many Nintendo tattoos. Now, don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with Nintendo, but I've always been a SEGA girl. Always. We have a Genesis that's probably older than me. And I still play it. And its definitely in my dorm room, ready to rock its pixels out. Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Sonic the Hedgehog, Earthworm Jim and Battle Toads definitely dominated my childhood. I don't think there is anything that I've like for this long other than maybe food and cats. So a decided a while ago that I am getting a sleeve of SEGA Genesis games. What more could I gamer girl ask for?!

So, I've been looking at tattoo sleeves and all I see is Nintendo! This disappoints me. The one remotely SEGA one (no pun intended...well...actually...yeah. Pun intended) was this:

Just this one same guy. (He might be my soul mate...?) And then another with just the SEGA logo, and two Sonic related tattoos.

NOT. GOOD. ENOUGH.

I am getting a sleeve of a TON of games. I don't know how much room I'll have on my skinny arm, but I do have a few necessities: 1. Zombies Ate My Neighbors; 2. Sonic the Hedgehog; 3.Battletoads; 4. Echo the Dolphin; and 5. Earthworm Jim. I'm sure I'll get the controller too, or perhaps just the ABC start buttons and D-pad. Perhaps I will get the logo too. SEGA in great, blue letters. Perhaps also the little birds from Flicky.

My only problem is this: Do I want to get the characters that look like the game covers, or do I want them to be like the characters on the TV?

Example:

or

or

I think I would want the covers more than he game-play version. The only problem is when it gets to Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

Observe:

or

Game play version, obviously. So maybe I'll have to do a combo of both.

Either way, you Nintendo nerds don't stand a CHANCE!
